Men of Twilight from VMAN
Looks like Catherine Hardwicke was honored with the Maverick Spotlight Award at the Venice Film Festival in California last night (Oct 9th). She well deserves the honor for all she’s done. Nikki Reed, who worked with her on ‘Thirteen’, joined her for the Q&A panel. They were also showing the newly released Twilight Trailer. As soon as pictures are available I’ll post them on our site.

L.A. Times has a short article here about how Robert Pattinson’s songs were slipped to Catherine Hardwicke unknown to him and how they ended up in the movie.
“When I went to see the cut,” Pattinson said during an interview Wednesday afternoon, “she’d put these two songs in. They’re old songs, but one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was like it was supposed to be there. It’s strange because what was supposed to be at that point in the movie was a big orchestral film climax. Instead it’s this little song with acoustic guitar. I’m singing it, maybe that makes it different, but it’s kind of overwhelming. I hope it’s overwhelming.”
