Vampire Tourism?
Here’s an article on the influx of tourists to Forks: Article here!
Premiere.com has an exclusive interview with Melissa Rosenburg, the screenwriter who brought Twilight to movie life! Some of the items she discusses are how she ended up on the Twilight project, if she’s read the Twilight saga, how the book become a film, the amount of collaboration with Stephenie Meyer, her writing process, the writer’s strike, the League of Hollywood Women Writers, the potential of a New Moon sequel, and fan expectations of the Twilight film. I love that the interview ends with the ultimate question: Team Edward or Team Jacob? Want to know Melissa’s answer? Read the article!
The Seattle PI posted an interesting article late last evening on the tourism industry in Forks. This article features some of the same thoughts that have been contained in previous articles posted on Team Georgia. However, who doesn’t want to read another Twilight focused piece?! It seems that in spite of the downturn in the national economy, Forks is a booming little tourist town! This is good for those of us who want to make return visits or first time treks to the beautiful little Washington town. Revenue from lodging alone has increased by 48% this year! It seems that Twilight has become the main money maker for this town that previously made its income from the logging industry. The Chamber of Commerce is very excited about the amount of Forks visitors. I’d like to also add that they are incredibly gracious to guests and will help you find any Twilight site you need directions too! They were wonderful when I visited Forks last June. You can check out the whole article here!
I found this on a post on facebook so I’m not sure if it’s valid, but here’s the information I tracked down:
During the week of November 10th, the cast of Twilight will be touring major cities around the States! Here is the complete low-down:
- Studio will only host one advance screening per market, in top 50 markets nationwide. Each screening will be small, so tickets will be more than impossible to obtain. Advance screenings will be week of release, Tuesday before.
- Robert will tour: San Fra, Boston, Dallas, Chicago, Philly.
- Kristen: Atlanta (13th), DC (14th).
- American Coven: Cam/Rachelle/Edi: Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, Houston, Minneapolis, Miami (Miami-Nov. 15th)

Christian Serratos seems to be a pretty down to earth, smart, not to mention beautiful, person who it playing the sweet, down to earth, smart Angela from Twilight. Check it out here.
tMF has an article here about the rampant rumors about the possible filming of New Moon sequel to Twilight. I know we are all more than hopeful but keep in mind we still await the ‘official’ word from Summit Entertainment.
tMF is in the midst of launching Part 2 of our Twilight Comprehensive guide, and one of the biggest controversies surrounding the movie adaptation of Twilight is the ‘possibility’ of sequels. Apparently, some movie blogs have began to announce that indeed the next book, New Moon, is to be made into film. ….
However, the news is old and the fact is, New Moon is being ‘readied’ since July of this year. The only thing missing is the ‘official’ announcement. While Nikki Finke is not citing any sources, I’m quite certain there are a lot of info (official and otherwise) that’s been heard, gathered and analyzed to come up with the interesting article
