Video: Great Photos
There are plenty of pictures and interview clips with the actors. I was super excited to see Kellan!
There are a ton of music videos being made with stuff from the new Twilight soundtrack. I thought I’d share this one I found which uses a lot of the trailer footage and other goodies we have already seen.
This interview was conducted by DocuBlogger.
If you have the urge to write your own Twilight tale then I have just the contest for you. Fans are asked to test their writing skills out by writing in the What Happens Next Twilight Fan Fiction Contest. The contest is being sponsored by the Kansas City Star. Basically, fans are expected to choose any two characters from the Twilight Saga and write their stories post Breaking Dawn; it can be any two characters you desire as long as they lasted through Breaking Dawn, of course! The winners will be published in the Kansas City Star, two tickets to an early showing of Twilight, a movie poster, and a $50 gift card to the bookstore of their choice. There will be two winners: one who is 18 or younger AND one who is 19 or older. It is also mentioned on their site that the winner does not have to be a resident of Kansas City. Still interested? Here are the basic requirements listed on the Kansas City Star’s Website:
•Focus on any two characters found in any of the Twilight books.
•Your story must be 400 words or less (leave the novels to Stephenie Meyer).
•Keep it G-rated. We’re a family newspaper.
•Include your name, city, age (if you’re 18 or younger) and — for our use only — contact information. (If you live out of town, go ahead and enter anyway. If you win, we’ll figure out the prizes.)
•Put Twilight Contest in the subject line and e-mail your entry to twilight@kcstar.com .
•Entries are due no later than 6 p.m. Nov. 7. You know, at twilight.
Some entries have already been received. All qualifying entries will be posted here!
If you’d like to read more about the contest visit the online site for the Kansas City Star!
Follow up article including some of the stories written so far can be found here!
Article: “Blood Lust”
This article written by Lisa Ryckman of the Rocky Mountain News was a very interesting read. She covers how the allure of the vampire story has been around for decades and just keeps sucking readers in. Of course she makes a mention of everyone’s favorite vampire – Edward Cullen. Read the article!
Twilight @ MoviesOnline
The web based movie source has posted a short blurb about the film and included some of the more recently released movie stills. Enjoy! Check it out!
My Trip to Forks
I thought I’d go ahead and post a short blog here about my trip to Forks, Wa (as well as Port Angeles, La Push, and surrounding areas). Go if you get a chance. It is a small one main road town but there and the surrounding areas are beautiful. The people of Forks are absolutely wonderful and most have graciously gotten into the “Twilight” spirit. I won’t bore you with too many details but will share a few pictures and tell you points of interests:
-First off, since we stopped before heading to Forks, Bella Italia. The food is phenomenal. Our taste buds were doing happy dances all over the place!
-
Forks Chamber of Commerce – The people there are absolutely wonderful, friendly, and seem to enjoy sharing stories (you would not believe how much mail the Cullen’s receive!)
-And then there is Forks High School home of the Spartans.
-The beautiful Miller Tree Inn B&B has been designated as the Cullen’s home (even though it is in town).
-And when you go you really need to check out Forks Outfitters (aka Newton’s for us Twilight fans). They have lots of Twilight items not to mention the attached Thriftway has an awesome bakery!
I’m going to attempt to insert pictures here. Forgive me as I am still learning
For those of you signed up with us I’ll be sending a link by email later this weekend showing all my pictures. I have them of Hurricane Ridge, The Hoh Rainforest, the Beaches at La Push, Lake Crescent, and several more Twilight pictures.
I highly recommend making the trip out there. If you like to be out doors and be awed by nature’s beauty you will not be disappointed by all the area has to offer!!
Spin … another one hooked
Debbie at TwilightMom’s posted this article from Pheobe Riley at Spin. She’s now hooked on Twilight even though she struggles as to the why. Pheobe, welcome to our world. Don’t ask why, just enjoy the ride
We’re here for you!
