This past weekend the Salute to Twilight Convention took place in Atlanta. Several Twilightmoms were in attendance. But, one of our own had an exceptional experiance at the convention. Rebecca and Lynn attended the trivia contest and Rebecca won! This is a quick run down of what happened in her own words. “The trivia was called the Yes/No game. Adam (CEO of Creation Entertainment) picked 3 groups of 30 people out of the audience. I was in the first group. We were each given a yes and a no card. He would read a TW fact, and we had to hold up a card. If you got it wrong you had to sit down. It got down to 3 of us, and we had to turn each facing a different way so wee could not see the others. I THINK the last q was “Aro gave Bella necklace as a wedding present.” Yes, of course. When I saw Lynn jumping up and down I knew I had won! I got $250 Creation merhcandise gift certificate and the make-over and then got to go backstage and walk out wth Kellan and Ashley.” Yes, she said walk out at the Vampire Ball with KELLAN and ASHLEY!! If you have ever met REbecca and Lynn, then you know that it couldn’t have happened to nicer people!

Way to make Team Georgia Proud!
Sorry for the Absence
Just a quick announcement. Sorry for the lack of news and posting lately. Between family emergencies and other obligations many of us have been off line.
Slowly getting back into it.
Please forgive us… now on with the news.
I ran across an article from the Orlando Parenting Examiner written by a newer fan to the Twilight phenomena. She mentions TwilightMoms and TwilightTeens. See the article here.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year everyone from Team Georgia. I know that news has been few and far between but we are all excited about 2009 and the filming of New Moon. Check back often for information on the movie, the actors, and events surrounding Twilight, New Moon, and Stephenie Meyer.
We wish you a happy and prosperous New Year!
Yes, you read correctly. Mr. Wonderful Larry Carroll announces MTV has made us Twilighters their “Woman of the Year“. Don’t forget to leave your comments thanking them for the award ![]()
If you’re one of the millions of women who live and die by “Twilight,” please take a quick glance into the nearest mirror — because MTV News’ Woman of the Year is you.
Reminder for Dec 12th!!
GO SEE TWILIGHT ON DEC 12th! Doesn’t matter who you go with just go!
As most of you remember December 12th was the original release date for Twilight. Show the love and see if we can spike those numbers for this weekend.
A Cullen Christmas
Check out this awesome article from Deseret News on the Festival of Trees and one that stands out in particular. .
A couple of aisles over, a tree labeled “A Cullen Christmas” celebrates vampires and the Twilight book series. Donated by Infinite Jewelry, the card telling the tree’s story notes that 25 local women who make up “Salt Lake Twilighters Anonymous” traveled to the books’ setting in Washington and the winning bidder will get not only the tree, but an actual Forks High School sweatshirt, along with a signed copy of “The Host,” provided by King’s English.
TwilightMom’s and Twilight
I found this post over at TwlightMoms.com and had to share. The article talks about how 45% of the movie goers for opening weekend were women over the age of 25. That’s a pretty big percentage considering all the hype about Twilight being a “teen” movie. We could have told them differently … but we showed them instead. See it here.
See Twilight on Dec 12th!
As you all may remember the original release date of Twilight was December 12, 2008. We were SO lucky to see it many weeks earlier. But to honor Twilight the TwilightMoms are asking that we all go see it again on the 12th. Have a get together with other TM’s, take friends & family, or just go see it! Let’s keep showing the Twilight Universe TwilightMoms are a force to be reckoned with
Happy Birthday TwilightMoms!
I had to share this video posted on the TwilightMoms site (here). Wishes from the cast, director, & writer (and a couple of special guests) to the TwilightMoms. Thank you TM’s! TwilightMoms forever!
